Consequences of Busy Fathers

Are you a busy father?

As a father, I was blessed to have plenty of time to spend with my family. Despite my efforts, one of my daughters said, “Your job is more important than me.” The point is, some kids need more attention than others.

Consequences of a fatherless child:

  • Twice more likely to drop out of High School.
  • Twice likely to become obese.
  • Twice the risk of infant mortality.
  • Four times greater risk of poverty.
  • Seven times more likely to have a teenage pregnancy.
  • More likely to face abuse.
  • More likely abuse to drugs and alcohol.
  • More likely to go to prison.
  • More likely to commit a crime.

PRIORITIES: If they come to you even if you are busy, in the middle of an important meeting, or if you’re talking with someone important, pause—NEVER ignore them. The family should ALWAYS come first.

They won’t be kids forever

It doesn’t matter what makes you busy. The family should always come first. If kids fail to see how much their parents value them, they will try to get it somewhere else.

Today, left-liberal schools are filled with demonic far-left ideology. Satan has infiltrated universities who want to destroy conservative Christian tradition. Parents must influence their kids ahead of others.

If kids fail to see how much their parents value them, they will try to get it somewhere else.

Consistency is what kids look for

Even if the father is at home, children may still feel “fatherless.” If a Dad is busy, one way to go around it is to make a “one on one” appointment with each child at least twice a month; as if they are a valued customer.

Kids spell “LOVE” as “TIME”

You don’t need expensive vacations to spend quality time with them. “Magic moments” usually happens when they have your full attention. Love for them is time, not fancy gifts.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
